If you’re looking to add some subtle animation to your TextViews, fading is definitely the way to go. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a simple fade effect using the Android Studio mobile development environment.

Next, create a new Java class called FadeTextView and add the following code:

package com.example.fade; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.widget.TextView; /** * Created by Mohammad on 14/4/2016 */ public class FadeTextView extends Activity { private TextView mTextView; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super .onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout

Different fade animations

When you want to add a fade animation to a TextView, there are a few different ways you can go about it. The first way is to use the FadeInAnimation and FadeOutAnimation classes. These classes allow you to set the start and end points for the animation, as well as the duration of the animation. You can also use the method setFadingEnabled on the TextView to enable or disable the animatiion at runtime.

The second way to add a fade animation to a TextView is to use the AnimatedVectorDrawable class. This class allows you to create an animated vector drawable, which can then be used in your layout file. You can then use the draw method on the AnimatedVectorDrawable class to draw the animation onscreen.

whichever route you choose, be sure to follow these simple guidelines when adding fading text animations:
-Use fadeInAnimation or fadeOutAnimation classes if you want an immediate effect when your text is highlighted;
-Use AnimatedVectorDrawable if you want more control over how your animation looks;
-Make sure that your TextView’s fadingEnabled property is set to true in order for the animation to work
